What are your privileges and prescriptive authority?

Clinical relationships (collaborating physician, referrals, on call): I have a consulting physician who is required to come in and review cases at least every two weeks and to provide telephone consult when needed. The consulting physician happens to be my brother-in-law who practices in a town 30 miles outside our service area. I hire him by the hour to provide the consulting service.

Privileges (hospital, prescribing, etc): I have privileges at three hospitals, one is 6 miles away and two others are 30 minutes away. I do not follow patients in the hospital. I use the hospitalist or refer to the appropriate specialist. I also have full prescriptive authority under the Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber legislation.
