How is your practice organized?

The practice is a professional corporation that is co-owned by myself and another Physician Assistant. There are various opportunities in terms of structure and it is important that the appropriate structure be selected based upon payment policy or particular restrictions within your state. We have selected a Professional Corporation (PC) as the most appropriate for this practice.

Structure and practice type was determined by myself, as I in fact set the standard to allow PA’s to utilize the PC model within the State of Michigan where PA were previously precluded from doing so. This was based upon advice and council by both legal and accounting professionals.
