 I
hate to send this baby home now. We've done such a good job of stabilizing
his disease while he was here in the medical center. I honestly don’t
think that the health care system in his country town can support
his needs. He’ll be right back here in worse shape than ever.
We need to keep him here for at least another week. |

Boston. 
His
home is in Willowdale, a small rural community several hours away
from Boston. The baby has severe Cystic Fibrosis. There is an issue
as to whether or not the baby should be sent home, as care in his
home community may be insufficient. His insurance will not cover
any additional time in the hospital, and his family has limited
financial resources.
