8
year old Ashley presents as a follow-up from an urgent care visit
2 days ago. For the past month, she has awakened 3-4 times at night
due to coughing. Her mother has noticed that she has had trouble
breathing a few times when she is running outside. She was treated
at urgent care with a nebulized b2 agonist and her wheezing completely
resolved. She was not given steroids. In addition, her peak flow
values, which were 70% of normal upon admission to urgent care,
increased to 80% after treatment. Today her peak flow is 80% of
normal and she is not wheezing. Her family recently adopted a cat. |
